WaterFire Providence · May Through November

Walk to WaterFire. Home to a fire of your own.

Five minutes on foot to the WaterFire basin. Steps to the pedestrian bridge and the Riverwalk. And when the braziers dim, come back to a private garden with a fire pit of your own — the perfect end to a Providence night.

Why WaterFire Guests Stay Here

The best base for a WaterFire weekend

5 min

Walk to the WaterFire basin

Skip the hotel shuttle, skip downtown parking. Walk along the Riverwalk, across the pedestrian bridge, into the basin. Same route for Waypoint, the Main Basin, and College Hill crossings.

Private

Your own fire pit

The loft's private garden has a modern concrete fire pit, lounge chairs, and a dining table for six. When WaterFire ends at midnight, the party doesn't — it comes home to your own fire.

At the door

The Riverwalk is your front yard

The pedestrian bridge is at the end of the block. Daytime walks along the river are part of the charm — coffee from Seven Stars Bakery, a stroll to the basin, back home to the garden.

8 guests

Bring the whole group

Three bedrooms, sleeps 8, a dining table for 10. WaterFire nights are better with friends. The loft is designed to hold a group without crowding.

Gated

Secure off-street parking

WaterFire weekends pull hundreds of thousands of visitors. Downtown parking is impossible. The loft includes a gated off-street parking spot — your car stays safe and close.

Jewelry District

Steps from the best dining

Bayberry Garden, Dune Brothers, Al Forno, Oberlin, Hemenway's — all within a short walk. Start the evening with dinner, end it at the basin, finish it around your own fire pit.

Planning Notes

Timing your WaterFire visit

When does WaterFire happen?

WaterFire's season typically runs from May through November, with roughly 15–20 full lightings per year. Most are on Saturday nights beginning at sunset. Check the official schedule at waterfire.org for the current year's dates.

What's a "full lighting"?

A full lighting is the classic WaterFire experience — 80+ braziers lit along the rivers, music, performers, food, and thousands of visitors. There are also partial lightings and themed "Salute" nights. The full lightings are the ones to plan your trip around.

How early should we book?

WaterFire weekends are in heavy demand. Lightings scheduled around holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, October) fill especially fast. Book 3–6 months ahead for most weekends; longer for marquee dates.

What about the minimum stay?

Weekend WaterFire stays are typically minimum 2 nights. Many guests arrive Friday, do WaterFire Saturday night, and depart Sunday — a natural two-night rhythm. Longer stays (3–4 nights) are encouraged if you're attending one of the themed events.
